Working in the fashion industry, I have many mates who are make-up artists, hair stylists, magazine editors and fellow stylists. I recently had a group of fashion folk over and showed them some samples from the new Tom Ford cosmetic range. I have a never seen a bunch of women more impressed. Find out why….
This ultra luxurious new range of cosmetics and skin treatments will be sure to make any woman look and feel extra glamorous and fabulous. I sat back and watched my friends (two of whom are professional make up artists), apply the various products. They shrieked, they yelled, they collectively made orgasmic noises filled with excitement as they confessed their love for the new range, gobsmacked at how brilliant the new range was. M.A.C who? Lancome what? they asked. It’s all about Mr Ford now.
The range features ‘The Colour Collection’, featuring ten elegant Eye Quads, the four shades of each quad are finished with either sheer sparkle, satin, shimmer or matte. Some of products in this range include: the Defining pencil – $45, Extreme mascara – $60, Cheek colour – $85, Lip colour – $65, Lip-gloss – $0 and Nail lacquer – $45.
The “Flawless Complexion” – is a range of sculpting and illuminating products designed to enhance your features. The ‘Shade and Illuminate’ allows you to highlight cheek bones and eyes ($100). Other must haves include: Foundation stick – $110, Illuminating powder – $100, Traceless Foundation (with SPF) – $110 and the Highlight Pen – $75.
The ‘Radiant Skin’ range is designed to look after your skin. We especially loved the “Intense Infusion Concentrate extreme” ($325), which is a potent oil based serum skincare product that will penetrate deep into your skins layers to help revive, tone and restore radiance to your skin. I also tried the ‘Intense infusion ultra rich moisturiser’ ($295), and let me tell you, it felt beyond incredible on. I suffer from psoriasis and sensitive skin, and it did not cause an irritation. Other fab products include: the Gelee Cleanser – $85, Eye Treatment – $190 and the Creme Cleanser – $85.
But it’s the ahhhhmazing lipsticks that you will truly love, designed for full coverage, boldly pigmented, long lasting and unscented. The colours have such sexy names too: Cherry Lush, Violet Fatale and Casablanca.
On a final note (and a superficial one at that), is the drop dead gorgeous packaging. They are all packaged in the most divine plush brown velvet pouches and the products themselves are a deep brown/black and gold. These Tom Ford products will just make you feel amazing every time you use them.
I understand it can get pricey to have a few items in your makeup kit, but even if you just get the lippy to begin with. I guarantee every time you pull out that gloss black and gold lippy, open it and put it towards your lips, you will feel luxurious, elegant and fabulous. And that is what Tom Ford is all about. I know when splash on my Tom Ford Black Orchid aftershave, it just makes me feel like magic.
