In 2020 he launched an initiative “100 Makeovers in 1o0 days”, in a move to help make 100 every day Aussies feel more confident and empowered”.
When styling his clients, Donny was frustrated at seeing gaps in the fashion market, so he established ‘GALELLA’ in 2004, with a range of women’s headwear accessories. By 2008, the label expanded to address the growing demand of fashionable, yet affordable menswear in Australia. The self-taught designer’s first three headwear collections quickly earned him the title of ‘Milliner to the stars’, and is stocked at leading retailers around Australia including Myer.
Proudly a media spokesperson and stylist for Westfield he has appeared in a national marketing and TV campaign alongside his UK stylist counterpart Gok Wan. His role as a Westfield Stylist sees him hosting makeover and style stage-shows, fashion workshops and personal styling services at various store locations often sharing the stage with fellow makeover experts including Carson Kressley and Trinny & Sussanah.
